Elite Lawn Care Program – Expert Lawn Care Across Sydney

The Elite Lawn Care Program is a lawn care package designed to help homeowners build a healthier, stronger and greener lawn. It includes a minimum of twenty (20) visits per year to keep on top of weeds, pests and diseases; and the fertilising of your lawn using the correct fertilisers and rates depending on the time of year.

The chemicals and fertilisers used are high quality and used by green keepers on bowling greens, turf wickets, golf courses and sporting venues throughout Australia.

Our 9 Step Thorough Process

01

Initial Meeting

The process starts with an initial meeting. We’ll come out and assess your lawn, discuss your needs and expectations, take measurements of your lawn area/s and conduct an initial assessment.

Assessment:

• Evaluate the current condition of the lawn, including soil quality, grass type, presence of weeds, pests, diseases, and any other issues.

• Identify specific problem areas such as compacted soil, bare patches, thinning grass, or excessive thatch buildup.

Soil Testing

The initial step will be to take soil samples from your lawn areas to determine the deficiencies and requirements needed for your lawns. These tests are performed by soil testing companies and a report on their findings are passed on to you once received.

Once received, we can determine the nutrient needs and apply them to the soils. Soil conditioners are used to improve the health of the soil and enhance the population of macro-organisms, like worms. The soil conditioners consist of kelp, fish emulsion and worm castings- a bit like Seasol on steroids…

Fertilising

Depending on the time of year, a blend of different fertilisers and trace elements will be applied to your lawn to encourage growth and strengthen the sward.

Organic fertilisers are also applied a couple of times over the spring and summer to add essential nutrients to the soil that will be taken up by your lawns’ root system. Some of the fertilisers may need to be watered in and we’ll notify you, beforehand, if necessary.

Weed Control

We will be using pre-emergent herbicides to stay on top of the weeds. Basically, they kill weed seeds before they germinate, breaking into the life-cycle of the plant and will remain active in the soil for six to twelve months.

It will be EXTREMELY important that you water this chemical into the soil so that it activates. Spot spraying with various chemicals throughout the year may also be required but will be used at a minimum and only as required.

Pest Control

Army Worm and the larvae of Black Beetle are ever-present but, in plague numbers, can devastate a lawn in days. We use two insecticides called ‘Acelypryn’ and ‘Tempo Xtra’ to help prevent these and other pests from harming your lawn. Again, it is used as a ‘preventative’ measure rather than a reactive one. They will remain active in the soil for, up to, six months.

Both chemicals have a low toxicity reaction to bees, birds and aquatic life and an extremely low toxicity reaction to mammals making it the most preferred insecticide for a residential lawn.

Lawn Mowing

Our Lawn Mowing Program is a package that covers every facet of lawn mowing undertaken throughout the year.

Our aim is threefold-
1. Keep your lawn looking neat and tidy throughout the year;
2. Keeping the sward strong and healthy by cutting it higher;
3. Keeping it green.

The Autumn Program

As the growing season draws to a close with the arrival of autumn, it’s typically marked by abundant growth and a thick lawn cover, especially if the season has been favourable.

Our Autumn Program is tailored to address the specific needs of your lawn during this transitional period. Its primary goal is to effectively reduce thatch buildup, which not only facilitates easier mowing but also plays a crucial role in disease prevention.

Additionally, in certain cases, a dye may be applied to enhance the colour of your lawn that may have discoloured over the colder, winter months under normal conditions.

The Winter Program

The Winter Program was introduced in 2022 to target moss outbreaks and clean/ clear up sections of lawn to help them recover.

Initially, the scarifier is used to lift and remove any moss growing in amongst the grass. The moss is then lightly raked from the area to leave it about 95% moss-free.

The balance of the moss is then treated with a moss killer. In a couple of weeks, your lawn should be 100% moss free

The Spring Program

Introducing our inaugural program, the Spring Program, launched in 2000. Designed as a comprehensive kickstart for your lawn during the spring season, it aims to provide optimal care for your lawn’s health and growth.

The program entails several essential steps, including dethatching, aeration, fertilisation, and top-dressing with premium organic feeding soil. These processes collectively promote the rejuvenation and nourishment of your lawn, setting it up for success as the season progresses.

What Sets Us Apart?

We know shortcuts might save time upfront, but they lead to poor performance down the track. We take pride in doing it right.
